Teacher Guide

"If It's Magic Teacher Guide"
Germaine Tarver, PRP CEO (Author of Teacher Discussion Guide)
[Purple Rose Prose Publishing, LLC]

Educator & Author Germaine Tarver has written an important book titled If It’s Magic. This Young Adult fiction novel delves into the life of teenager Nina Winslow, a supremely gifted musician struggling to grow up in a dysfunctional household.

The Teachers Guide that accompanies If It’s Magic is aligned to the New Jersey State Learning Standards and supports students in analyzing and synthesizing complex texts. In addition to being in alignment, the questions and activities promote in-depth discussions to help examine difficult topics and journey with characters that deal with the best and worst of what life often gives.

PRP Consulting skillfully creates guides that make texts more relevant to young readers. These resources ensure young people have the background knowledge needed to take on complex content. They also provide plenty of opportunities for students to share their thinking and consider the thinking of others. Our guides allow for texts to stay with readers long after they have closed the book.
